back from a trip to kansas to visit my grandparents & celebrate their anniversary. a little more tired than when i left (that's what a red-eye flight followed by 4 days of family will do!) but definitely refreshed. it was so good to see my family and visit with cousins who i haven't seen in years, as well as acquaint myself with their little ones. 9 kids 9-years-old and younger... it makes for quite the party!
my grandparents are doing well -- going strong as always. a little slower perhaps, and a little more inclined to take naps, but still putzing along in their own way. at 89 and 94, with 65 years of marriage under their belt (officially on Wednesday) -- that's quite the feat!
pictures & stories to follow...

So glad you got this opportunity to honor your grandparents and have a good time! As for the 9 children under 9...I relate!!!
Hey Mary! I thought I'd check out your blogs since you posted in mine. I will add them to my blogowerbust blogroll. : ) I just saw you major/minor. I majored in Communications with an emphasis in Print Media! Are you doing anything with it right now? And what do you ideally want to do with it? Just curious. : )
@Heidi - i'm actually back in the area, working for O'Reilly Media in Sebastopol -- doing PR and author relations. It's very hectic and fast-paced, but fun! :) I'd love to go into print journalism one of these days but with every newspaper laying off people... it's not the best time to get into the field :)
Very cool!!!
